Participation of our president M. Harati in the FOGECA Forum in Banjul January 2025

Banjul, The Gambia - From 31 January to 1 February 2025, a delegation from the Chamber of Commerce and Investment for Africa Russia & Eurasia, led by our President M. Karim Harati, took part in the FOGECA Forum (Forum of Operators to Guarantee Economic Emergence in Africa), a key event aimed at strengthening trade and strategic partnerships between African countries. The forum brought together business leaders, investors and development experts to discuss new opportunities for collaboration and growth in strategic sectors.
During the event, M. Harati highlighted the importance of creating synergies between African countries and the Eurasian continent, underlining in particular the opportunities for the continent to integrate solid partnerships in the technological and industrial sectors.
On the sidelines of the forum, the president was interviewed by a Gabonese television channel following his meeting with the vice-president of the transition, H.E. Joseph Owondault, where they discussed the participation of a Gabonese delegation in the Dakar 2025 Socio-Cultural Economic Forum, in Diamniadio, Senegal. According to Mr Owondault, it is vital for African nations, including Gabon, to invest in the education of their younger generations to trained engineers capable of generating value and providing concrete solutions to the region's economic and environmental challenges. He concluded by stressing that these investments in human capital are essential to building resilient and competitive societies on a global scale.
